What causes Acne Breakouts?
Acne breakouts, ghah!!! Acne breakouts occur when the pores on your skin become blocked due to excess oil, dirt, and bacteria. Everyone experiences an acne outbreak at some point in their lives. However, some people are more acne-prone than others due to factors such as hormones and genetics. Still, certain people experience more frequent or severe acne breakouts than others. There are a variety of factors that cause acne breakouts. Some of the most common causes or triggers of acne include:
- Hormone changes (puberty, pregnancy, etc.)
- Dietary factors (milk, high sugar, processed foods, soy, peanut butter etc.)
- Build-up of makeup, oil, dirt, and other debris on the skin
- Poor hygiene
When will I see results after an Acne Treatment?
Although results may be seen within a short period of time after an initial treatment, the answer truly depends on the severity of the acne. Also, due to the way that acne develops in the skin, a series of 3-5 in-depth acne treatments may be necessary to achieve optimal results and return the skin to a clear baseline point. During an Acne Treatment consultation, Crystal will provide a custom and realistic timeline for what to expect in order to achieve your desired results.
Once a baseline has been achieved is where Crystal believes the fun begins! She will work with you to assess how quickly the acne returns, identify where specifically the skin breaks out, and begin to identify other factors or ways to slow down the unwanted outbreaks. She will not stop looking for solutions to help reduce her client’s acne outbreaks because she knows that the ultimate goal is acne-free skin!
How do I maintain acne-free skin?
