How does an Opus Plasma treatment work? Opus Plasma is a modern and highly customizable service that rivals the effectiveness of older, and harsher C02 laser resurfacing options that required more downtime. Opus Plasma works to resurface and tighten your skin and can be tailored to provide a spectrum of outcomes – from minimally invasive to more aggressive. Do you remember when you thought you’d never need to use science again after high school? Well, shhh…we won’t tell your science teacher that they were right!!! Let’s get after the science of the cutting-edge technology of Opus Plasma! Opus Plasma treatments use fractional plasma energy by transmitting both radiofrequency (RF) and microplasma vibrations deep into the dermal layers of the skin. There are metal pins in the Opus Plasma device that, when active, become charged with radiofrequency energy. The radiofrequency setting on an Opus Plasma treatment is what sets Opus apart from other services. This radiofrequency energy interacts with atmospheric pressure near the skin to create the plasma that superficially “injures” the skin. This injury works to clear up the surface of the skin, while the radiofrequency penetrates down to the dermal layers without breaking the surface of the skin. These deeper columns of “injury” trigger the body to produce more collagen to create an overall smoother, tighter, and more youthful complexion, and skin tone.

Questions & Support

Is an Opus Plasma treatment right for me?

Opus Plasma treatments are a perfect option for those that don’t want the invasiveness of other cosmetic procedures. Master Aesthetician Crystal will consult with you to determine if an Opus Plasma treatment is the best option to help you achieve your skin care goals. If it is decided that an Opus Plasma treatment is not ideal for you, Crystal and her team will work with you to find an alternative safe and effective treatment option to help you achieve a smoother, more beautiful complexion.

What can I expect during an Opus Plasma treatment?

Opus Plasma sessions range from 15 – 45 minutes in duration depending on the areas being treated. Numbing is required prior to an Opus Plasma treatment and Crystal and her staff will review the proper procedure with you for optimal numbing. You will experience slight heat, or a burning sensation, during an Opus Plasma procedure as the cosmetic device is delicately moved across the treatment areas of the skin in quick, featherlike strokes.

How many Opus Plasma sessions do I need?

Noticeable results can be seen after one Opus Plasma treatment. To achieve the best results, it is recommended to receive 3-4 sessions that are spaced between 2-4 weeks apart. For more aggressive rejuvenation settings, extra recovery time is needed between sessions. After receiving the initial 3-4 treatments, a maintenance treatment every 6 months is ideal.

What is the downtime after an Opus Plasma treatment?

Following your Opus Plasma treatment, you may experience swelling and redness, like a sunburn, on the treated areas which will generally subside within a few days. Any hair removal from the treated areas should be avoided after an Opus Plasma treatment until the skin is fully healed. This includes shaving, waxing, and depilatory creams. The treatment areas of the skin may experience flaking and drying which is a natural process to reveal the rejuvenated skin. It is very important to keep the treated areas moisturized during the healing process and absolutely avoid picking or peeling the skin. Avoid tanning beds, extreme sun exposure, and saunas after an Opus Plasma treatment. If you do need to be out in the sun, apply sunscreen before going outside and always wear a hat or head covering. Lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin can now be a thing of the past. Book your appointment now for an Opus Plasma treatment in Kaysville, Utah to begin the skin restoration process.
